Edelweiss unveils is 2007 season calendar

        The promoter of Edelweiss Speedway decided that the annual banquet was a perfect time to unveil the 2007 racing season calendar. What a year! There is a few good events to notice on the calendar, the Empire Super Sprints will visit the speedway twice this year on Friday, July 13 and Friday, August 17. The Canadian Dirt Challenge, sponsored by Lucas Oil will make a stop on Friday, July 27.

          Make sure to put an X on your calendar for Friday, September 7, because Edelweiss will host for the first time on the same night both the Super DIRT Series for the 358 modified and also the DIRT Series for the Pro Stock class. The modified will have a 100 laps features event and the Pro Stock will get a 50 laps feature. More than $25,000 in purse will be given for that night only! 

          Something new for this year on Friday, July 20, Edelweiss will have the visit of Benny the Bomb who will be in a car with dynamite, should be an explosive night! Also, a new series for the Semi-Pro class will start this season, on Friday, July 6, Edelweiss will host the second of four race that will also happen at Brighton, Brockville and Cornwall.
